“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” is looking for talented young inventors to feature on an upcoming show! The USF Young Innovator Competition will submit all ten finalist to NBC’s Tonight Show for consideration. On February 12, 2015. Previous inventors on Fallonventions have won $5,000 for their appearance courtesy of GE.
We received the USF Young Innovator Cup back from last year’s winner, Melissa Feingold of Academy at the Lakes. The Cup is held by the top Tampa Bay area young inventor each year until the next competition.

The 7th Annual USF Young Innovator Competition deadline for entries is February 1, 2015. The competition is open to students kindergarten through 8th grade (K-8) in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Manatee, Sarasota and Polk counties. Entry forms are available on our website. Every entry wins a pass to Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI). Top inventors are eligible for thousands in cash and prizes.

This year the University of South Florida is proud to introduce custom, one-of-a-kind medals for the ten (10) selected finalists selected February 4, 2015 by the USF Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors.
These are substantial, premium-grade awards that reflect the intellectual and creative accomplishments of this competition’s top young inventors. In addition to the medals, the top ten (10) finalists will win annual family passes to Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry, gifts from HSN and a chance to win $1,000 for themselves and another $1,000 for their school.
